Tom Jordan is a multiple Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, and AP award winning journalist, and is currently a news anchor and
reporter at WWJ in Detroit.
In his 17 years of anchoring and reporting, Tom has covered some of the nation’s biggest stories: multiple presidential campaigns;
historic wildfires; on-site coverage for NBC News on the death of former president Gerald Ford; the Olympics; the U.S. economy,
and many more.
Tom’s extensive media background includes work as a news anchor and reporter in Washington State and throughout California,
including San Diego, Los Angeles and Palm Springs. His Emmy wins include his day-of anchoring coverage of the September 11th
terrorist attacks and the subsequent invasion of Afghanistan. He was also awarded an Emmy for best coverage of the 2007
wildfires, an Edward R. Murrow award in 2015 for best newscast, and Associated Press awards for a variety of special reports.
